Who we are

The data controller is Yubi SRL, Str. Ramasagului 48, Sector 4, București, România (CUI: [de completat]).

What we collect

When you join the waitlist: your name and email address, and — where you choose to give them — the timeframe of your wedding, your guest count, which package interests you, and any notes you write in the free-text field.

When you use the cost calculator: your name and email address, your estimated wedding date, guest count, the venue and options you selected, the estimate we produced, and your budget if you enter one.

Automatically, alongside a form submission: the page you submitted from, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through. We use these to understand which channels bring couples to us.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not ask for special categories of data such as health or religious belief.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To contact you about Yubi and to answer what you have asked us — for example sending the estimate you requested, or telling you when dates open. Our basis is your consent, and for enquiries that lead towards a booking, steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

To send you news about the launch. Our basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

To understand which marketing channels work, using the campaign and referrer data above. Our basis is our legitimate interest in running the service sustainably.

Who else can see it

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, and only on our instructions:

Supabase — the database that stores your submission. Our project is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).

Vercel — hosting for this website, and the anonymous page-view statistics described under Cookies and analytics.

Resend — sending the emails you receive from us.

Some of these providers are established outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is covered by the safeguards in their data processing terms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with venues or other third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist and calculator submissions for 24 months from our last contact with you, after which we delete them.

If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we do so promptly unless we are required to keep it by law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another provider. You may object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest, and you may withdraw consent at any time — withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.

To exercise any of these, email hello@yubi.ro. We will respond within one month.

Every marketing email we send also contains an unsubscribe link.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), at www.dataprotection.ro.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Only cookies strictly necessary to serve the site are used, and those do not require your consent.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people actually read. It works without cookies and stores nothing on your device: a visit is identified by a short-lived hash of the request, which is discarded after 24 hours, and your IP address is never stored.

What it records is the page you visited, the site you arrived from, an approximate location (country, region, city), and your browser, operating system and device type. The result is aggregated, cannot be traced back to you, and is never used to follow you across other websites.

Anything you type into the venue search is stripped from the page address before it reaches Vercel.

Because nothing is stored on your device and no individual can be identified from the result, this does not require your consent. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: knowing which pages are useful is how we improve them.

Security

Submissions are stored in a database that is not readable by the public. Access is restricted to named members of the Yubi team, and the website itself can only add records, never read them back.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we contact you will be notified by email.
